ABOUT ME

Dr. Terry Wayne Fonville is an experienced and knowledgeable primary care doctor. He has maintained an office practice in the West Village in New York City for the past 40 years.

Dr. Fonville earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. He pursued an internship at St. Michael's Hospital after which he completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan and at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx. He is currently affiliated with the Beth Israel Medical Center of New York.

Patients visit Dr. Fonville for a host of reasons: from anxiety, insomnia, skin rashes, high cholesterol, abdominal pain, joint pain, diabetes, and hypertension to STD’s and HIV. He believes that sound medical judgment, evidence-based medicine, and clear communication are the best combination of attributes that can lead to the best outcomes for patients.

In his spare time, he plays piano and composes. He is a tennis enthusiast and a cinephile.
